PGL - Information Sheet For Parents of Year Six Pupils

We are delighted to be able to inform you that we organised next year’s residential adventurous activity experience for Year Six.  This visit will be to a PGL Centre called Tregoyd House.

The children will participate in a ‘Multi Activity Programme’.

The children will leave school on Wednesday 19th June 2024 and return to school on Friday 21st June 2024.  The cost of the trip is £255.00 per child and covers all that your child will need.  Naturally, the children will be accompanied by staff from this school.

We have taken children to Tregoyd House on a number of occasions.  We have seen for ourselves just how safe it is for children.  Risk assessments are produced and all safety regulations followed.  We have also seen at first hand just how much children gain from their time at the centre.

As a guide, a second payment will be required by the end of September, a third by end of January 2024 and a final payment of the total cost will be required by the end of March 2024.  Parents can pay an amount each week or each month, if that is easier or of course you can pay it off in full.  If any parent wishes their child to participate in the visit but feels that they will experience difficulty in paying, they are asked to contact Mrs Morgan-Willetts in the main office.

Closer to the time of the visit, we will hold a parents’ meeting at which we will provide all the details of the visit and what the children should take.  In the meantime, if you have any queries regarding whether or not you wish your child to participate, then please contact the school office.

We very much hope that your child will be able to participate in our ‘PGL June 2024’ adventure. From our own experience, we can assure you that the children really do benefit a great deal from their time at PGL.

Yours sincerely

Mr C George
